Staying here for the Christmas Markets was enchanting. The charming atmosphere made it feel like being in a fairy tale. The medieval crime museum and the Christmas market were just a short walk away, making it super convenient. The breakfast options were simple but satisfying, and I was impressed by the large and spacious rooms. One highlight was sitting outside in front of the hotel, soaking in the vibe, despite not getting the gluhwein to go.

Charming hotel right outside the city wall. The noise from passing cars made it hard to sleep at night.

Charming historical architecture, well-lit bathroom mirror, quick access to traveler services
The tiny room didn’t meet my expectations for comfort!!! Elevators only reach certain floors, which made navigating the hotel a hassle!!! Soundproofing needs major improvement to enjoy a quiet stay!!!

The Double or Twin Room was comfortable and clean, perfect for our needs. We loved the view of the city wall right outside our window. No A/C was a bit of a bummer, but the breeze helped. There were a few quirks with the power outlets. had to use cords to reach the plugs. The old-world charm of the hotel made it fun, even if getting around was a bit tricky.

Charming location with cozy ambiance
The location was fantastic, just within the old city walls, making it easy to explore Rothenburg. Our room was clean and surprisingly spacious, with a comfortable air conditioning system that kept us cool on warm days. The restaurant offered delicious meals, and it was delightful to have such convenient access to local sights. However, it would be great to see some improvements in the clarity of the parking situation, as the rates were a bit confusing.

The hotel is close to plenty of adventure activities like mountain biking and rock climbing. Enjoyed a fantastic dinner with beef soup that felt just like home. The staff was super helpful and even assisted us with parking. It's easy to find great spots to explore nearby.
While we enjoyed our stay, the reception's limited hours for check-in caused a bit of confusion. Just a heads-up for future guests!
